The Beis Din of the Vaad Harabonim of New England was founded by Rabbi Mordechai J. Golinkin Ztl in the early 1900’s. Today under the leadership of the Rabbi Joseph A. Polak who serves as the Av Beis Din, the Rabbinical Court of Boston adjudicates complex matters of Jewish Law including Jewish Divorce , Conversion & matters of Financial Dispute.
Throughout the millennia, members of the Jewish Community have settled their differences by appearing before a Beis Din , a panel of Rabbinic Judges who are experts in Jewish Law and use the wisdom of Torah to help mediaite and guide parties towards peaceful resolutions. All matters discussed before the Beis Din are confidential under Massachusetts Law. (Chapter 233 Section 20A: Privileged communications; communications with clergymen)
The Beis Din is the only authority in New England whose decision on such matters are recognized by the Chief Rabbinate of the State of Israel.
